Our yearling stock horse Fancy Man managed to put a stick into his fetlock joint during a storm in Jan 2025.
After an unsuccessful joint flush, our only treatment option that didn’t involve spending tens of thousands in vet fees was a course of antibiotics twice a day for 2 months. This brought with it a fairly high risk of colitis so we had to be hypervigilant. I decided to contact Cathy as I couldn’t see the harm in using healing plans to assist him, even better if they healed him 🙂.
Fancy Man had no gut problems during this time and as a 1yo locked up for so long he really just chilled out and took it all in his stride.
We’re now a bit over a week since medications have finished and he is still sound and happy.
